Yami Gautam joins Tamil Film industry

Yami gautam debuts in Kollywood with her Tamil movie ‘Gouravam’ opposite Allu Sirish. She is very much familiar with South Indian film world as she has worked in Sandalwood movie ‘Ullasa Utsaha’, Mollywood flick ‘Hero’ and Tollywood’s ‘Nuvvila’. Only Kollywood was left behind so now she completes all four regional languages movies down south. The actress gives equal importance to all her movies irrespective whether it is project in Hindi or any other regional language.

‘Gouravam’ is Prakash Raj-Radhamohan’s movie in Tamil and Telugu in which Yami bagged a fantastic role according to the actress herself. The director told he was impressed with the actress performance in her Bollywood debut film ‘Vicky Donor’ and as ‘Gouravam’ is bilingual project they were looking for someone who has atleast one time experience in minimum one language. Yami did fit in the criteria and was called for story narration. She liked the role as it is much more to usual singing and dancing and soon was signed for the film.

She might owe her popularity and tremendous success to Hindi movie ‘Vicky Donor’ but that does not stops her from taking up good work in regional languages. As an artist for her most important is the role she plays hence if she gets good offers from South then why not, feels Yami Gautam. Moreover at the moment she is flooded with offers in Bollywood and soon she will be seen in a Hindi movie too.
